2012 Cadillac CTS facelift revealed
Cadillac CTS sedan, coupe and station wagon will be added to the custom V-6 engine, new grille and a new Touring Edition package for the 2012 model year.
The new 3.6 liter V-6 provides 318 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque, compared with the current engine 304 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque. EPA fuel economy label remaining 18 mpg city/27 highway.
CTS's grille has been updated with new premium finishes that emphasize the complexity of the new framework and network combinations.
Changes will be made in all three CTS - CTS Sport Sedan, Sport Wagon and Coupe. 2012 models will come from the dealers in late summer. Prices will be closer to the start of production will be announced.
"CTS has established itself as a world-class luxury sports car line, but stay on top, we must continuously improve," said Don Butler, vice president of marketing for Cadillac. "Changes in the 2012 model year, offering customers fresh look at the CTS-bold grille and a better performance without compromising fuel."
With the new engine and a mask, Cadillac added a new tour package for 2012 that improve keystroke points in the CTS. Touring package comes in a 3.0L V-6 engines, and 3.6 liter V-6 will be an exclusive grill with a dark finish, metal pedals, dark wood paneling and Sapelo suede seat, steering wheel and gearshift.
Touring Sedan and Wagon package will include chrome door handles. Version 3.6 liters will be 19-inch polished wheels and Recaro 14-way electrically adjustable seats. 3.0L version will be 18-inch wheels with a pearl-nickel finish.
Other changes for 2012 model year, CTS is a standard Bluetooth phone integration on all models and side blind zone alert technology available in the CTS Coupe.
