Will the Jeep-based SUV Turn Maserati into the New Porsche?
Most fans of Italian sports car Maserati SUV Jeep believes will be a shame-based history of the company, while pragmatic and analysts that this is a way to revitalize the brand. And those who remember our recent history of the soon to launch Maserati SUV could strike the word "reputation" in the title.
Sources from the company confirmed today that the Italian company actually the Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV based on Concept Frankfurt Motor Show early next month. Furthermore, says that in luxury SUV will not build Modena, like all other sports that carries the Trident, but the Chrysler Jefferson North plant in Detroit.
There is no doubt that Chrysler Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne, the man with the plan. For Chrysler and Fiat, Marchionne is a great program for merging the two companies, reduce costs, increase profits, and the problem is the largest automaker in the world that GM, Toyota and VW.
It could be said that Marchionne is to copy a page (or two), Ferdinand Piech, is a prime example. Strategies for platform sharing, and especially the implementation is what became the fate of VW. Marchionne, I seem to be on the trail of Dr. Piech.
Think of it this way: If not for VW, Porsche would never have been able to Cayenne in their own development. This means that you would never model a lot of money, the company can improve its other products and further expand its range and now represent nearly half of sales are made. Moreover, the German company has developed a small SUV called the Cajun will be launched in 2013.
Despite what critics may say that the luxury SUV market develops and more importantly, with high gain. This is why brands like Bentley is considering entering. And quite capable to run, Mercedes ML, jeep into a modern, luxurious and of course much more expensive car is not such a bad idea if the final result is in line with customer expectations.
If this happens, it will repeat Porsche / Cayenne model and provide companies with high profit model. Well, in less than one month we will be at least a first taste of what is expected Maserati SUV at Frankfurt Motor Show.
