New Mercedes-Benz model B55

B55 is not a Mercedes-Benz model. Nor is thinking of selling - not now or anytime in the future. Sorry, but I had to add. Because this would take another useful conservative B-class, made by the team trained in herbal Mercedes Rastatt in Germany, is an absolute riot.
As the name suggests, is a beautifully designed for single prototype and removed from the standard B-Class. It began as a modest B200 CDI, it was liberated from the standard 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine. Pressed into the site and other areas in the engine compartment was recently replaced by 5.5-liter gasoline V8 packing 243bhp to 383bhp added £ 170 m and a torque of 391 lbs ft Mercedes

Like a new engine to fit into a sloping bonnet and within the narrow confines of a compact MPV, with original hooks and without any change in the standard structural steel body is still a mystery, but with a polished chrome door plumbing, other visual tricks, and it certainly looks the goods.
It also sounds. Turn the key and you're treated to a delicious throaty soundtrack, thanks to new exhaust from a wide range of spare parts not conventional shock absorber and back-reduction tricks. If you did not know you could be forgiven for believing that the AMG product, which apparently no direct access to the new car.

The engine is a highlight. Mercedes' students have also dropped from B-Class is a front-drive layout for the rear drive shaft runs from the new seven-speed automatic gearbox in the back straight on the floor where they mate with the axis of the E430-old property, and 1, 54 000 mm gauge, keep the standard rear bodywork, but it needed a new pick-up point for the multi-link rear suspension and a smaller fuel tank.

How to deal with increased power, the brakes are a decade old C32 AMG with 345 mm front and 300mm rear discs. Given the limited development, but no traction control and stability program engine spare Thurs.

The result is a great driving experience unlike any other B-class - in contrast to other Mercedes when it comes to that. No application traffic, we used to see Rastatt test for B55 is more than just a show. It also has a surprisingly mature dynamics.

With an additional 15 kg above the front axle for the B200 CDI, distribution of weight supports the front end. But there is enough balance and posture, which can attack the corners with real flavor. Besides the lack of self-centering steering wheel, whose packaging is compromised by the need for so much space to the engine, and thus runs less than the hydraulic pump may be necessary, such as B55 nauwkeurig run with an impressive ride comfort and no obvious vices.

With a curb weight of 1620 - more than 180 kg B200 CDI - a decent speed in a straight line. Andreas Wurz, the leader in the technical training department in Rastatt is largely credited with the idea for a new car, it is estimated that it would be good for 0-62 mph in less than six seconds when he finally gets around some places the instrumentation. Lying, of course. The thing just runs in the low five seconds bracket.

B55 looks pretty impressive for what is essentially a high MPV. As you can see that Mercedes team of students managed to get a new engine and transmission with no apparent change in the standard B-Class body kit - a remarkable achievement considering the great changes which took place under control. However, the lower ride height and 18-inch wheels - 8-inch front and rear feet 9 inches to 235/40 (front) and 255/35 (rear) profile tires and two centrally mounted chrome exhaust pipes is much more aggressive stance than its standard brother or sister.

Unfortunately, though never more than this prototype. But with a new, second generation B-Class at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, is a convenient way to the first generation of the popular compact MPV from Mercedes' send.
